Avery Sunshine

Avery Sunshine has a unique style which combines R&B with gospel, soul music and R&B. The singer's career has taken her all over the world, from Broadway to European events and clubs, to even the Democratic National Convention. Sunshine's real name is Denise White. Although she is based in Atlanta however, her roots lie located in Chester Pennsylvania. There she first began to develop an interest in music, performing and singing in a church. She was a student at Spellman College and began to study the R&B style of Atlanta. The Fighting Temptations The single which featured her vocals"Stalk You the House was released only in Japan. The song has been remixed numerous times and has become a staple in her live performance. Her voice was also added to the music of The Fighting Temptations. In 2005, she was employed as the lead keyboardist for Tyler Perry's stage play Meet the Browns. Jennifer Holliday, who won Tony and Grammy Awards for her voice, asked Sunshine to join the Dreamgirls production during the Atlanta's National Black Arts Festival. Sunshine gained national recognition for four daily performances during the Democratic National Convention in 2008. Sunshine was chosen to perform as part of President Barack Obama's inauguration ceremony in 2009.
